La Digue

La Digue is the third largest granitic island in Seychelles in terms of population (2000 people), but it is just the fourth largest in relation to size. The island Silhouette is bigger than La Digue, yet less populated.
La Digue offers a more relaxed and „back to nature holiday“ compared to Mahe and Praslin. It is famous for its beaches and huge rock formations, e.g. Anse Source d’Argent, Anse Marron or Grand Anse.

The main mode of transport there is the bicycle as the island is small enough to be explored by bike or by foot. Most of the inhabitants are using bicycles for their daily routine, such as going to school, to work, buying groceries etc. Bicycles and tricycles are available for hire on arrival with the ferry to the jetty.
