The Island of MAHE


Mahé covers roughly 150 square kilometers and is 27 kilometers long and 7 kilometers wide. It serves as home to almost 90% of the population of Seychelles. Considering its mountainous interior, covered with lush vegetation, so it is a small wonder that the island’s original name was “Ile d’Abondance” (island of abundance).
